Totally. My workday technically ends at 5 p.m. but I'm usually back online for a couple of hours after my kid is asleep because it's the only time I'm actually able to dedicate to work without a meeting happening at the exact same time.

So for the love of god, please don't schedule that meeting if the only available time is someone's last bit of unbooked time. Move it to tomorrow; none of what we do is actually urgent. We're trying to sell products, not saving lives.

The general lack of respect for people's time exhibited in "professional" work environments has and will continue to decline until we (middle managers and workers) stop letting leadership demand every second of our lives.

Remember when someone needed a meeting and they'd look at your calendar and see you only had one small chunk of time open and would then choose a less.nusy day? We used to respect each other's calendars. Now, we see someone has 30 minutes open at noon so we take it because who needs lunch?

Which one do you use? We've had terrible luck with ours!
