I had a running bit on Twitter where I talked about how much I hate the snare drum on Teenage Dirtbag and I will repeat it here. It sounds terrible and ruins the song! PANG! PANG! DONG!
Perfectly normal and natural for Facebook to be promoting something pro-Confederacy in 2025, no sign of an ideological bias here. I never like or comment on Facebook, but this is the shit being pushed into my feed?

A genuine embarrassment and national shame that this man is still platformed by our media and in the pro-Palestine movement

Starting to tighten up my year-end 10, and can confirm that 28 Years Later, One Battle After Another and Materalists are out of the 10. The most stressful time of the year

Hello it's me the leader of the party full of landlords that has been in power your whole adult life and created the housing crisis we now refuse to resolve.
I'm here to tell you it's actually the foreigners' fault.

The Greens have a very robust prescence on here, some Soc Dems post on here, some Labour prescence, but it's very telling that Sinn Féin doesn't have a prescence on Bluesky yet the party + reps still actively post and engage on Twitter. No doubt, it's giving them a skewed view of the electorate..
A fantastic piece of reporting, brilliantly illustrated data, thorough, neutral analysis, transparent data collection… and frightening conclusions. Well done @skynewsrss.bsky.social for putting in long miles on this one

Cairns, O'Callaghan and Gannon have all used this line in the last week and it's clearly annoying Harris. Good to see an opposition party in the Dáil willing to push back on the language used by FG
Tánaiste Simon Harris has said it was a “dog whistle” for those in the Social Democrats to compare him to Nigel Farage.
He said other political parties are calling him names 'for stating a fact, in my view, that migration has risen at too high a rate'. jrnl.ie/6866587

Social Democrats TDs have accused Harris’s comments as coming straight out of ‘Farage playbook’.

Mused on the role a fragmented social media played in the presidential election. The vibes on here compared to Twitter for the general election last year and the presidential election were night and day. Back in 2018, everyone was basically under the same roof on social media, it has now fragmented.

This is yet another example of how you beat the far right. By beating them, not trying to be them. By having your own agenda, not aping theirs. With courage and conviction - and humour - not fear and timidity.

Spoil the vote: A flash in the pan or a sign of something more?
The main subplot of this year’s presidential election was the campaign to spoil the vote, which ended up with 12.9% of the vote. We dig down into the stats and see if this is a sign of a conservative ...
