Migue needs to change the oil to these monsters. Mexican-built 1971 Ramirez R20 tractors. Have fun, kiddo!

Migue is now working on another automotive unicorn: a 1971 Ramírez R20 tractor. These were made in Monterrey, Mexico, and are legendary among Mexican truckers. Big and ugly but strong and reliable, these brutes gave loyal services for decades.

Wile E coyote finally catches the roadrunner! Well….. kinda..

(Had to reupload the drawing due to an error I just recently found. So I apologize for that. 😅)

Migue arrived in El Oro. He borrowed a bike and is running errands for his granny.

Completed. 1968 DINA Olímpico (Flxible FlxLiner) in the livery of a large Mexican intercity line. Migue earned his vacations with this one, he's heading to the grandpas' house in a small town near the mountains. Have a good time, kiddo! Send photos!! #bus #truck #kids #vacation #drawing #inkscape

Almost finished. Clearance lights, mirrors, wipers, windshield and driver window, add shadowing, and resolve the cab interior, and this DINA Olímpico (Flxible FlxLiner) from 1968 will be ready to take Migue to his favorite vacation spot.

The lineart is almost ready! Mexican 1968 Dina 'Olímpico', a bus you could see all over the country for many years.

Migue's favorite Studebaker. XD

Migue is working on his first bus ever! We'll see how this goes. XD Assuming the kid is around 1.40 meters high, I think this would be the correct proportion relative to the huge bus. Mexican-made DINA Olimpico (Flxible FixLiner) from 1968.

Migue's Studebaker collection so far. All cool cars (though that pink 1958 Lark is still growing on me), though I think his favorite is definitely the 1800s farm wagon.

Migue just finished washing that truck, a 1952 Studebaker 2-ton stake. It was a tough job, but the kiddo managed to clean the huge machine before his shift ended. He's grinning imagining what he's going to buy with his pay, 10 bucks just for him! XD #Studebaker #truck #kid #play #vector #inkscape

These were very rustic and cool. 1973 Volkswagen type 181 "Thing" (o Safari, as it was called in Mexico). Designed as a tough little personel carrier for the German army, it was loosely inspired by the wartime Kubelwagen. With the bullet-proof 1500 cc Volkswagen type 1 engine and transmission.

1952 Chevrolet Styleline DeLuxe sedan in downtown Guanajuato, Mexico.

Nerding over a hubcap. XD Migue is installing new DeLuxe covers on his mom's car, but he's been examining their construction for a while. "Stamped inoxidable steel... painted emblem..."

Migue is waiting for his girl. ^^ They planned a nice date for the afternoon: movie downtown, then a pizza at the new place. Migue took the 1955 DeSoto Firesweep Sportsman hardtop because his girl likes the color! Emberglow, as it's called. It's a very girly bubble gum pink. Well, have fun, kiddos!

A classic from the '60s! 1966 Plymouth Valiant Acapulco. This was the top of the line in Mexico, and to this day is a very sought after car! Nice find, Migue!!

Another oddball built on the aesthetically challenged VW 'Thing': the Safari Acapulco. Created as a special model for the Las Brisas hotel in Acapulco, it was eventually available for sale to the public. Mid-70s.

Yes, it looks like it was made by the smith at the town's barn, but this was an original model, sold new like this by VW of Mexico in the early '70s. The Safari Pickup was an odball that tried to convince you that two little rear doors were as useful as a proper tailgate. Migue is not convinced.

Este se vendía en México como Dodge Dart, pero era el mismo coche. Es más, creo que la parrilla del 'Dodge' traía estampada la marca 'Plymouth' en algún lado. Bonito coche, bien de los '70s.

Once upon a time, taillighs were embedded in the bumper. They looked great... but usually changing a blown bulb was a major repair job, requiring to remove the bumper completely. When the government-mandated 5 mph bumpers appeared, this very 70s design cue had to disappear. 1972 Plymouth Satellite.

Yes, he's a dork. xd Migue eagerly walking to school one Monday morning.

It's a campervan, alright. But not any campervan: based on the Hormiga, a strange truck built by VW of Mexico between 1975 and 1978, it's a front-wheel-drive, mid-engined monstrosity powered by the Beetle's air-cooled engine. Roughly the same size as the VW Transporter, it was fully equipped!

1961 Plymouth Suburban. I might finish this one some day.

The kiddo is choosing the color for the latest project: a 1961 Plymouth. What color should he use?
