And as I think about it further, why do we tolerate police (unelected, non-lawyers, oh, and Nazis) selecting which laws to enforce? Doesn't that kind of undermine the whole idea of elections, legislation, and the Constitution? Fuck this guy.

I mean, 5 years ago we were watching the same city, Minneapolis, burn down because the Nazis (police) were murdering people. Same fascism. Same Nazis. I don't understand why anyone would think the police are here to protect us.

We’re seeing a lot of the same dynamic nationally that happened here in MN post-George Floyd murder. The mass outcry across the world led to justice promised- then in time that was consciously morphed into a lot of toothless “reforms” that were easily ignored. Defund became extra-fund! (as you know)

As a matter of practical reality, the idea that the minute Trump invokes the Insurrection Act all resistance is futile, Trump has won, Game Over is nonsense. That’s just regime propaganda. Let us not perpetuate it. Make them earn every inch of creeping authoritarianism.
