If trans acceptance is conditional then it's not acceptance

3/3 (i guess i didn't know how much I wanted to say about this) there have been so many wonderful trans people who have died from dysphoria and a lack of cultural acceptance and I really want to remember them today and express how grateful I am to have survived.

in the trans community and for me it was directly related to my gender dysphoria. For years I didn't know why I felt so wrong in my body and was in so much pain all the time. Opioids were how I coped with that. I was able to get clean directly because I accepted myself and started my transition.

XP 2017 na d10

I just make bad decisions lol, particularly around positioning and which areas I try to control. I also die a lot. I’d like to know when I’m not pushing the right areas, if what I did was appropriate for the game state, and and what could have prevented my deaths

True true. I don’t think “locks out” is the right term for it, maybe more disincentivizes it. I definitely think the people saying low level teams should play higher level teams should also be down to spend a few hours stomping on div 10s to give them a chance to practice.

I guess tldr is I agree that gatekeeping skill is fine as a small part of the community but it does end up locking low level out of chances to improve and locking high level out of chances to help low level and expand their community.

This is as someone who’s never really scrimmed higher level teams but I would really like to. I think partly from anxiety about them not getting as much out of it as me, and embarrassment over my own skill which are both things I’m trying overcome.

but I think Excalibur 8s all level channel and scrims with more skilled players has a special benefit above just getting a quick 0-3 in a tournament and moving on. 8s because you get to play with better players on your teams and scrims bc it’s more relaxed and u can get advice and suggestions.

I think something that doesn’t get talked about is that if lower level players should play higher level players to improve, that also means higher level players need to play with lower level players too. I think open tournaments are a great way to do that, and even entering low ink as div 10 is good

Hm yeah maybe it was they wanted to split div 9 and div 10 into separate tiers which is so much worse 😭 and yeah the open level 8s channel is awesome.
November 13, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Whenever the Excalibur 8s was established some people in the lowest tier were talking about how they should add a new tier for people who are world 9 eligible. Which would obv be bad because 1. there’s really not that much of a skill gap and 2. It locks div 9-10 out of playing with better players.
