Every time I get one of these email notifications about the number of people who have downloaded my dissertation, I am so, so grateful for the University of Denver’s digital commons for making it accessible to folks.

One of my favorite selfies. Sitting out in front of a Mexican restaurant in Utah on a gorgeous fall day after spending the whole morning hiking the Narrows with my buds. Had just peeled off my waders and wetsuit a few mins earlier. I was tired, but not exhausted. The sun was shining and I was happy

Well, on and on and on and on
I can't stop, y'all, until the early morn
So rock-rock, y'all, tick-tock, y'all
To the beat, y'all, c'mon and rock, y'all
I give thanks for inspiration
It guides my mind along the way

Just started reading ‘Love in Time: An Ethical Inquiry,’ by Fannie Bialek, and I’m already loving this critical evaluation of divine agape. Can a divine love that does not depend on any action of the beloved really be called “love” in any meaningful sense?

Since tomorrow is his feast day, here’s one of my favorite depictions of Luke the Evangelist that I’ve gotten to see in person. From a 6th-century baptistery in the Cathédrale Saint-Sauveur d'Aix-en-Provence.
