we started Thanksgiving morning by shocking our systems with just how cold and blustery it was at the lakefront. we got to see one of the snowy owls though! we also got to watch Lake Michigan showing off, as usual.

look. sure. I moved my dog up onto my chest while I was lounging (he was in my spot) but then he turned into a liquid and snored in my ear and now my back hurts
a small tan dog, sleeping on his back. his paws are kinda in that dainty position and you can't tell from this picture, but he's lightly snoring. what is he sleeping on, you ask? why that would be me. his little head is tucked right next to my left ear. I'm not sure either of us is actually comfortable

our neighbors have this giant tree in their back yard and sometimes we get these perfect tiny leaves in our yard in the fall. (it also dumps a truly obscene amount of leaves into our yard but whatever.)

got to drive behind modern AU Stede Bonnet today
a teal Jeep Cherokee flying the jolly roger behind it. there's a bumper sticker that reads "ride or walk the plank" and seems to be from a place? but I can't figure it out and couldn't when I was behind it either. I really love those library envelope things I made (which is great cuz I spent so much time making them). as a bonus I treated myself to a bunch of cute post-its at a local stationary store, which is where the little cat paws came from.
3 comic short boxes in a small pyramid. the outside of each box has a sticky note pad sheet or two stuck to it rather precariously. in fact, one has fallen off and is sitting on top of one of the boxes. the note paper has a list of the titles inside the box, and another post it has the date the contents were last scanned into the comics organization app we've been using. the damn sheets of paper are covering up the box handles again, 3 comic short boxes stacked in a pyramid. this time the outside has little library pockets on the outside. inside each pocket is the list of the comics titles in the box, a post it with the name of the box, and a little cat paw with a date indicating the date the contents of the box were last scanned into the comics app we use. nothing is falling off and the handles are accessible and I love it so much
