I've recently created a new and improved edition of my debut novel, The Worst Summer of My Life. It is smaller and contains some artsy goodies in the backmatter drawn by yours truly. Additionally, my new novella, SOUR DOE, is also out!

SO. Songs like Underground, by Harvey Danger - I'd listen to that vein if I'm writing a real ominous scene or character. If I'm trying to capture an aura like, summer vacation, I'd listen to bands I was SUPER into during that time of my life, and so on.

I have to explain, first, how I listen to music because it's apparently weird. Every song I hear triggers an involuntary daydream. Essentially my brain generates music videos for everything. I cannot passively listen to music. It just summons too much in me lol. 🧵

I make playlists for every single story I write. It's all down to vibes. I have an alt folk music list for my Appalachian horror, my debut novel was mostly Pop-Punk "summer vibes", etc etc.
