Stallholders and customers on Kyle Street Cork in the 1960's/70's. This is the street opposite the Vision Centre on North Main Street. Most of the women selling her had no actual stalls they put the clothes on the ground. They would bring their goods on prams from different parts of the City.

Paddy O Flynn the last of the in shore fishermen in Cork . The O' Flynns lived on Keysers Hill it runs from French's Quay up to Elizabeth Fort on Barrack Street. People remember Paddy repairing his boats on George's Quay opposite Abbey Court House. He passed away on 2007.

Lillian Clerke in her shop at Bridge Street Skibbereen a lovely lady to visit always had time for a chat and time to tell customers about the social history of the town. The shop closed permanently in 2023. A big loss to Skibbereen it was a tourist attraction with its unchanged interior.

The Statue as we would call it , this is the 60's . I remember these shops some were there till the early 1980's. Mangans jewellers the clock is still there , Melina hairdressers where my mother went this is now Marks and Spencer and the entrance of Merchants Quay shopping centre.
