When I bought my house in 2002, Realtor (and parents) said I should cut down huge Silver Maple a foot from the east wall for safety. It’s stood for 23 years providing shade & swings. In the last 5, it’s lost leaves, limbs (onto roof), & lots of bark. Today it’s coming down. I won’t watch.

Yesterday's hike. I forgot to start Strava at the beginning (Extra Red Line), but the trail climbs the bluff 11 times! 91° when we finished at 11:30. Practicing for a three-day trip next month in Michigan, so I had a full 20lb base pack. Thus the sweat #hike #backpacking #Park #PTO

Our survey crew was out early this morning to beat the heat on a stormwater inlet inspection and opened a lid with a very angry little racoon. Which they kindly relocated to a nearby creek. Of course we had to project what we think will happen in a few years. #GPS #Survey #GIS
