So while I had traveled out of the country before this, one of my most aggressive "oh it's a big world and I am a child lost in it" moments was in 2019 when I went to #KupoCon Pomex and my online friend Kira hit me with: "I didn't expect you to have such a strong American accent."

I know reviews of it remains mixed, but #Hook remains my favorite Robin Williams movie of all time. Incredible cast, great story, remarkably touching (hits even harder as a parent than a kid), and needless to say with John Williams as composer it has a god tier soundtrack. youtu.be/MzO21fkDO0g?...

Ever since the day my child was born this image from the manga Yotsuba& has spoken to me. For the most part my child is pretty obedient but they are also clumsy and they have a lot of me and them and this is a scenario that could have absolutely played out in our household.

Personally if I was attacked on the street I would use the power up that I'm hanging on to instead of leaving it to be picked up by my attacker up on my defeat. But I'm not completely without honor, I started carrying change so that it can fall to the ground in a neat pile upon my demise.

I never really got into #Skylanders but I have to admit as I am pricing this bulk order of them I am getting routinely delighted by some of the punny names. The one that just broke me was Model 87562888, a vehicle made out of bones entitled... Tomb Buggy. Well played.

For time in the eternity I will recommend these books by my friend. You could not ask for a better deconstruction of the storytelling influences on this game and it serves as a good crack course in mythology to boot.
Final Fantasy VII changed my life.
The FFVII remake trilogy is the greatest gaming experience I've ever had.
