Boring. Likes to read and crochet, among other things. Sinophile. History nerd.
It was good to see Doug (character) back. Good old Doug. Poor guy. I dislike how the novelisation tried to make him a creep; Doug's a sub, but he's not a creep.

(man, this guy almost always gets the jerk characters. I liked him in Third Rock), and my brain was having the cognitive dissonance of Dennis Nedry (I AM old; shut up) getting popped by the character who it could be argued is descended from a dinosaur.

Henry Winkler played the principal in that, and I remember them all looking at me like I'd grown a second head when I was laughing about it. Unlike them, I grew up with the Fonz. In this movie, it was Wayne Knight who was a jerk of a science teacher

Now, anyone who was around in the 90's is probably having a switch tripped. They were both the killers in Scream.

I remember watching Scream in the theatre. One of my few friends had a slumber party, and I was invited.

Matthew Lillard does a terrifyingly good impression of mental abuse. That was probably the scariest thing in the movie for me, but that kind of thing hits my PTSD buttons hard. When someone does "abusive asshole" a little too well, it unsettles the hell out of me. Skeet Ulrich did a good Henry.

Nowadays, sending a kid to the store on her own is considered child abuse for some reason. :(

Yes, I am odd. I cry at thinking of the Opportunity rover's last message, but have no interest in having a cheater around. Besides, if he left me, he'll leave her, too. No coming back, though. Find someone else to trick.

I am now going to drink some tea and wait for my blood pressure to come down. Hopefully no nosebleeds; I love this shirt--it's my adorable fall guinea pig sweatshirt. One of the few items of my wardrobe that isn't largely black or dark green.

Now that I'm home, the panic has hit. I was fine until I got parked, and then the delayed terror washed over me. ISTG, I felt my grandfather saying "Turn IN to the spin, not out of it" as I was sliding nearly sideways down that thing. Fuckity fuck fuck fuck.

Fuck snow, fuck ice, fuck drivers, fuck anyone who thinks they can "plow" parking lots by leaving 4 inches of snow on the ground that turns to ice; fuck hills, fuck icy hills, THANK YOU GRAMPA for being in my head as I slid down that godawful icy hill and helping me not spin out into a car crash.

How are your ice cravings lately? Pretty much gone?
December 3, 2025 at 5:13 PM
Nope. That happens to the middle and lower ones mostly. This was an upper one.

That was probably the car accident in high school, tbf. I knew my wrist was broken then.

It came out fine. Apparently at some point in my life, I broke a rib and didn't know it.
