How did you know that this screenshot has been languishing in my phone for days. If I knew he played in a plaid goddamn bathrobe I would have queued it up right away.

We saw this truck covered in anti-vaccine messages on the road on Friday, ironically we were taking a kid to see the doctor. We need good trustworthy public health figures to combat all the pathos around medicine, not to stoke more fear and suspicion.

Exciting week at our house! New book of short stories by @johncounts138.bsky.social has arrived. They’re all set in a fictional version of Up North Michigan.

Once again I’m kicked out of a Facebook group called “I grew up in Michigan,” where the admin often post state-related content, then when posts get some traction they edit in a new image and text. It’s usually to sell AI quilts, but this one has a caption about a burger chain with a Trumpy image.

“Take a screenshot,” I told the kid, “so I can always remember which of Van Gogh’s selfies made you compare his color choice to ‘the blue Doritos.’” Cool Ranch Vincent! I am so proud lol.

We have not been keeping the puppy inside the new puppy pen but we will use the new puppy pen to protect the Christmas tree from the puppy.

My Halloween glowing medicated Mr Burns has been moved up from the yard to the porch but he might stay here for a while. I like being able to point him out to himself when he’s on TV.
