This is Not-My-Dog Chicken Nugget.
Someone needed something taken off their responsibilities plate, and I needed a reason to spend time outside in the cold/dark. Win / win. She's YOUNG(1.5), which means she has trouble listening instantaneously-- but that is age appropriate for an impulsive preteen.

Artober FF6 Celebration Day 22: Crusader / ドゥームズディ
I wrote an essay in the description for my thought process behind this image and why I chose Nomura's Triad design over the OG Amano concept art if you're curious.
Three beings float in an ominously cloudy, red sky. The top image is a one winged woman with a hand extended over her head: in her abstract lines are the words "goddess, sophia, 女神、ソフィア" The bottom left image is a scorpion-like creature wielding an axe. The words in the abstract lines here read "Zurvan, Demon, 鬼神, ザヴァン" The bottom left image is a four-armed muscular blue man with bat-like wings holding a long sword. His words read, "Fiend, Sefilos, 魔神, セフィロス" Many of the art for my Artober project have been inspired by FF6's amazing sprite art... but Crusader (originally named "Jihad" in Japanese, but later changed to "Doomsday" perhaps because of the problematic imagery that the former implies in modern context) elicited a lot more questions than answers. The pixel art was based off of Amano's design, but was there a larger connection between the esper and the Warring Triad during the conception of it? I wonder if there was a disconnect between Nomura (whose drawings inspired these-- his names are in the respective abstract lines around the figures: Sophia, Zurvan, Sefilos (.....Sephiroth?!?!?)) and Amano; ultimately, the game design team decided on keeping both concepts, separating the esper from the Triad. I was much more inspired by Nomura's images, so.... that's what I went with. To me, it makes sense that the esper based off the gods who, when out of alignment, lead to the ruin of the world, have an attack that kills you and your enemy indiscriminately. One of the most difficult pieces to tackle ended up being the one I was most pleased with. Thank all of you for the kind words and compliments on this project. I had a lot of fun working on these, and I am looking forward to making another series in the future... subject matter TBD, of course.
