Yes it was, but I think the polls really turned bad last year.

I'll admit this is only my own perception at the time, as someone who was just learning about the issue. I might be off. It was just something that annoyed me.

The reaction of many British progressives was to simply accept this narrative and do nothing, under the guise of "yes, aren't we Brits so lame?"

Something that frustrated me was the American labelling of Britain as "TERF Island" at a time when trans rights were polling quite favourably in the UK (2019 or so).

I say this as someone who really wants cheap and plentiful public transport.

But ultimately doing this would have so many knock-on effects.

Sorry but people are not going to accept an increased tax rate to subsidise London.
