I can’t imagine how much material he has stored away. It doesn’t seem like he’s ever stopped writing and recording, he simply doesn’t release 98% of it. I’m not even sure what compels him to release what he does when he does it. He’s on Paddy time

I got From Langley Park to Memphis for a $1! Used to see that one all the time in the cheap bins. Now people will put it in plastic and charge $20

Ahhhh I’m sorry that’s such a sad memory to have for what should have been a beautiful show
I was worried going into Bird Machine fearing it’d be really dark given it was his last recordings but it’s surprisingly sweet and beautiful. One song “O Child” written for his nephew knocked me out

Yeah that one hit me very hard. He made some of the most beautiful music you could ever hope to hear and had so much more to make. That final unexpected Sparklehorse album Bird Machine his family finished in 2023 was stunning. It genuinely felt like closure.
