Our neighbour, farmer Don, 91, fell in the snow last week, got back up and went on his rounds delivering 1000 pounds of meat to his various rural customers. Pain this week took him to the ER, where it turns out he’s snapped a rib. He’s a tough as boiled owl, our Don.

So it’s ok to have enormous “F* Carney” signs in your front yard, for all the kiddies to see, but woe betide you if you dare to question the worship of an omnipotent sugar daddy?https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/santa-parade-signs-brantford-9.6999839

I love this the arc of this story. No doubt someone will make it into a movie. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Experienced cooks please advise: fresh beef liver had strangely firm texture when raw. Sliced like steak, almost. Fried it up in the usual way, and it was crunchy. (!) Like coconut meat. Inedible. Disaster.

Well, that Murrican fella Trumpet is up the creek, sounds like. Not like our boy Carnival. Wasn’t looking forward to a bunch of election signs gumming up the snowplow all winter long.

This Is delicious. The BBC managed to write about Harry without mentioning Meghan in the article by name at all (except identifying her in the cutline). “…his wife, a former actress”. www.bbc.com/news/article...

The poor mook. It was his first assignment as an ICEPrick, and the shouting terrified him. He was peeing his drawers when he got sandwiched. He’ll never work again.

The fake swearing is in the form of 'grawlix', which is a great word for something familiar, if you are unaware of it.

It looks as if the Trump regime is blaming “Democrats” for any and all the ills they themselves have deliberately inflicted upon the US proletariat. The next thing is to purge the population of people they identify as “Democrats” through the usual channels. The camps will be full.

Just thinking, re. a thread about true-to-life film characters, that in the Nordic noir cop shows (which I love), their glasses never fog up when they come in from the frozen outside. And their noses never run.

A useful animated video, illustrating how everyday noises—ones non-autistic people may not notice—can overwhelm an autistic person, in some cases leading to bolting and meltdowns that uninformed people dismiss as "autistic behaviors." Please watch and share.
