I met an absolutely lovely academic who asked whether my department back home is affected by ICE -- a question dramatizing how little info is getting out.

More: 2-year old Chloe & her father were coming back from grocery shopping when a suspicious vehicle followed her fathers vehicle home. When the father pulled into his private property, ICE agents got out of the vehicle, broke his window and kidnapped them. No judicial warrant was provided.

This is an important insight. Miller, Vance, and co see immigrants as the enemy, as the other. But they also see anyone siding with immigrants, citizen or not, as the enemy, too. And they want to make sure people see that aligning with immigrants makes you vulnerable to state violence.
The deeper issue is Miller and maybe Vance want people who are eager to show solidarity with immigrants to fear state violence.
They want us to fear Trump is capable of the worst.

Renee Good Family’s Lawyer: We gave the federal government a letter of preservation last week. We asked them to preserve that vehicle to make sure that it’s stored in a safe manner so that none of the evidence gets altered…That is an example of one piece of evidence that we don’t have access to.

(1) Get set up with an attorney before you go out, if at all possible. ICE has started asking if people they arrest have an attorney and, if they say no, denying access to the lawyers doing ad hoc jail support. Get a name and phone number. Memorize both of possible, write their number on your arm

Please tell everyone in Maine to get whistles. 3 short bursts means ICE is in area. Long whistles when everyone convenes when ICE is present is to distract them. 3D printers can mass produce. Hand out at coffee shops etc .
