In my book-per-month-or-so reread of Wheel of Time, I just finished Knife of Dreams. I'm not sure if I'd reread it since finishing the series and oh my lord the way Nynaeve's part got me. 🥹

When the fancy Labyrinth Kickstarter stuff you ordered 2 years ago finally arrives...in a box barely held together, with your stuff smashed up inside. 😭 Lucky nothing actually got lost but man. What do I do with crumpled prints/posters?

I'd been debating seeing Tron: Ares a second time because I really wanted to see it in 3D. Of the 3 showings in my entire city today, only one was 3D. So I did it!
Second impression: 3D was fine. Dialogue felt more cringe. Music only got better. Plot bothered me less.
Verdict: I call it a win.

This made me think. I like romance in my stories, but what I really love is *relationships* in my stories. Found family is also huge for me....see the Twisted Luck series by Mel Todd with an aroace MC. And there's a spicy book I love because the platonic BFF side story was so moving to me.

Every ace author I know is very aware that romance sells books. It can be a hard thing to grapple with. Not every ace author is comfortable writing romantic relationships—and even if we are, it's not great to feel like we HAVE to or else we're shooting ourselves in the foot. (1/?)
