Reading Witch Hat Atelier made me miss one of my favorite standalone manga by the creator of “The Girl From the Other Side”. One of my favorites to have on my shelf.

#348-352 were Witch Hat Atelier #3-6.

I’m still impressed, some manga’s have a lag in plot around the 6th volume but this one still has momentum from the original plot. I’m living for each new contraption and the insight into Quiffrey’s backstory.

#347 was I, Medusa

Greek retellings always make me want to do two things: Do a deep dive on the original mythos, and murder men. I liked this more than ‘Stone Blind’, but less so than ‘Circe'.

#345-346 (I lost count, I'M TRYING) is Witch Hat Atelier

This series took every wish I held in my child's heart and made it come true. Magic is cast not by waving a wand and chanting words, but by drawing sigils. HOW COOL IS THAT??

#345 was Hollow.

Izzy is not putting up with any of the weird crap Sleepy Hollow is selling. The town is obsessed with their founding myth and Izzy couldn't care less, until she falls for the great great descendent of the Van Tassels who is currently being hunted by a decades long Eldritch demon

#344 was Role Model.

I'll be mainlining all of Rachel Reid's work in between Heated Rivalry updates in order to feel alive. This one was sub par, but you can't win them all.

SO MUCH COOLER

#342 was Cannon

Cannon’s grandpa is ill, her mom isn’t helping, her best friend is secretly using her life as writing fodder, and her job sucks. Cannon is just a ticking bomb.

#341 was Wild Reverence

A god-child falls in love with the man who worships her in this fantasy pantheon featuring multiple realms.

#340 was The Long Game

Why yes I DID binge this directly after reading Heated Rivalry, because I needed my boys to be happy and healthy in heart and hockey.

#339 was Slices of Life

Wordless quiet comics of Qu’s observations about life.
This is one of those comics you read if you get stuck in a rut.

#338 was The Long Game

Look. LOOK. It's currently hockey season, and then HBO had to announce that they were making a queer hockey series, so OF COURSE I had to binge this book in a day. If your main complaint with romances is that there aren’t enough sex scenes, look no further than this book.

#337 was Astral Panic

Gale has anxiety, which he is trying to manage with the wonder-cure “Simply Pear”. And it’s hella not working.

#336 was Play You For It

The first female coach of a men's college basketball team falls in love with the sports reporter who is covering that team’s season. I can’t stand watching many sports but I will read any queer romance about any sport any time.
