The Good Literary Agency founders 'heartbroken' to close agency after funding bid 'fails'
The Good Literary Agency (TGLA) will close at the end of March with all staff, including agents, being made redundant.

This is crucial work to be carried out long-term, thanks again to CLPE. It's disappointing to see the drop in overall presence of racially minoritised characters - but I'm shocked by the *halving* of books with racially minoritised main characters.
🔊 Our 7th annual #ReflectingRealities report is out now! This year’s report shows a significant drop in the presence of racially minoritised characters in books published for children in 2023 in the UK.

The algorithm overlords can tell my jewellery obsession from one click and yet I still have to hunt for books on Black British history! Freedom by Catherine Johnson was great - an engaging adventure story for kids balanced with the horrors of the transatlantic slave trade. #kidlituk #historybooks
