the world is a bit smaller tonight with the death of Alice Wong. if you aren't familiar with who she was please pick up any of her books.
I vaguely remember a Tom Wolfe essay detailing his literary feud with Updike (and Norman Mailer and I think Saul Bellows?) in which he mocked literary fiction writers who looked down on him for writing actual fun-to-read sentences, but that’s not quite the same.

There are so many and it’s ENRAGING and I’m bringing out my stash yarn to reacquaint myself with making a bunch of mittens and hats for the winter kits. Deffo switching my fundraising to the good food banks down here (not the MISSION ones)
