Un plaisir pour les yeux et le cerveau !

How Many Members Does Antifa Have? Where Is Its Headquarters? The FBI Has No Answers.
Despite saying that antifa is the biggest U.S. domestic threat, the FBI couldn’t explain how the movement is a “terror organization” — or an organization at all.

This combined with how cheap solar has gotten is really an incredible advance. We just need the courage to deploy it all and to break through the rural NIMBY types fearmongering about solar farms.
This is incredible (good news too): “After a 40% fall in 2024 in battery equipment costs, it’s clear we’re on track for another major fall in 2025…The economics for batteries are unrecognizable, & the industry is only just getting to grips with this new paradigm”

Batteries now cheap enough to make dispatchable solar economically feasible
Energy think tank Ember says utility-scale battery costs have fallen to $65/MWh outside China and the United States, enabling solar power to be delivered when needed.

Some held out hope for a correction. They lament that what's been lost is the human touch; the copywriters who take the time to learn what a small business is really about, to develop a unique voice suited to a client. AI, meanwhile, is homogenous and dull.

But for now, things are dire.

Many copywriters were offered reduced rates to edit AI-generated copy. Others who still did have jobs said that the work has lost much of its meaning; it's been sped-up and automated into busywork.

As was true with the translators I heard from in an earlier edition, copywriters never felt that they were being replaced because the AI's work was better. It was almost always worse. It was simply cheaper and faster, and deemed "good enough" by clients.

I heard stories from copywriters who had to move back home with their parents. Staff copywriters whose work has all but been turned over to AI, and no longer have anything to do. Others are trying to retrain for a new career in their 50s. One shared that they had been pushed into sex work.

For many, it was even worse than they'd feared.
