This is why I reject the notion that their inaction is because they’re just ineffective as a party. They’re not trying to fix it. They’re biding time until the pendulum swings back their way.
Here's what I expect from Democrats. Their goal is to win big in the midterms. Do some tepid sanctioning of the Trump regime. Then hopefully win the presidency in 28. They want to reinforce that the status quo still works. They don't want to acknowledge the institutions are broken.
Democrats are still committed to letting this regime shift blame. If they ever find a suitable scapegoat, we'll be back where we started.

First L for Mamdani is this remote learning nonsense. The city’s arbitrary quota for school days is not worth the massive disruption this puts on students and parents. Small and special needs kids especially aren’t gaining anything from this and it’s just a massive headache for their caretakers.
