All we're doing on Thanksgiving is being at home with the kids, cooking, eating, playing board games. I'm so excited. And then Friday we unfortunately do have to take our ancientest cat (Almost 20!) to the vet due to some issues, but she's probably okay-or at least not going anywhere just yet.

I can't wait for next week. First time in my life I will be an adult, in a home I chose, with a person who treats me well, and my children, with no one else's expectations on a holiday. We're planning to have so much fun and the turkey won't be fucking DRY. Can't wait, can't wait.

We bought a house. My sibling informed me he would be having both Tgiving and Christmas at his house. I said, that's nice, I'll be at my new house for Thanksgiving but I hope you have a nice day with your family. Our mother has been dead 11 months. I don't have to go along with what everyone wants.

Honestly as the partner of a runner who is friends with the kind of runners who make me go “just go to therapy jesussss” this is not dystopian, this is just par for the course with these people 😂 Like oh the ultramarathon doesn’t appeal, not intense enough? You need to be hunted? Of course.
