Warm cinnamon and vanilla rise with the steam. Crispy edges give way to custard-soft center. Butter melts, syrup pools, and the first bite tastes like home. Sweet, slow, golden—this is breakfast worth pausing for.

Starting the day with cozy French toast and ending it with crispy chicken wraps. Sweet morning, savory night.

Grace in the Gospels | Week 20: Jesus Calls Levi

He left the table of profit for a table of grace. Jesus didn’t wait for Levi to get it all together—He just said, “Follow me.”

Breath prayer:
Inhale: You see me as I am
Exhale: And still, You call me close

Gracefully yours,
Jeanie Jo

March 25 🧇 International Waffle Day

I watched the waves crash hard against the seawall, relentless and wild. But the wall stood firm, as it always does. I thought about the ways we hold each other—love like a breakwater, absorbing the storms, standing strong. Protection isn’t absence of struggle, but presence in it. #lentphotoaday

47 years old, and I’m just now making my first grilled cheese—because someone else always made them for me. Crispy edges, golden brown, just the right amount of butter. But today, it was my turn.
What’s something simple that you’ve never made or done for yourself?

I stood at the water’s edge, the salt air wrapping around me. The waves rolled in, unhurried, steady. Alone, but not lonely. In the quiet, I felt held—by the sea, by the sky, by the One who never leaves. #LentPhotoADay

The lake is still, morning light dancing on the water. I sit, Bible open, heart quiet. No hurry, no noise—just the gentle pull of grace. Tempted to fill the silence, but instead, I let it hold me. Sometimes, the holiest thing is to simply be. #lentphotoaday

Growing up, we called these sausage rolls “logs” after a funny Woman’s Day recipe. It stuck, just like the tradition. Pineapple dump cake was another favorite—simple and sweet. Today, on my mom’s first birthday in heaven, we’re making this meal in her honor.
