No? Everyone is chilling on the forest moon at the end of ROTJ, watching the DSII burn up in the atmosphere. It's only in Rise of Skywalker that we find out that any pieces of it made it to the surface intact. The ewoks are definitely fine.

The Imperial forces moved the DSII into the same orbit as the forest moon while attempting to line up a shot on the rebel fleet without hitting one of the Star Destroyers between them (Ackbar comments on this), and it was also mostly empty space, many times less massive than the moon itself.

It really felt like I had just shown him a home-cooked meal that I had spent hours working on only for him to show me the contents of his toilet as though it were equally impressive. Just immediately dispiriting.
