As we celebrate the holidays, let’s remember that giving and receiving gifts does not equal consent. Consent must be freely given, mutual, and continuous; not assumed. Gifts are meant to bring joy, not pressure or expectations around sex or sexual activity.

Setting healthy boundaries is an act of respect. Knowing & communicating your limits & honoring others’ comfort is key to consent & preventing SA. Healthy boundaries don’t push people away; they strengthen trust & connection. Honoring boundaries creates spaces where everyone feels respected & safe.
