It makes perfect sense that both would be rooting for the guy whose idea of national defense policy is killing as many people as possible in the biggest explosions possible, as if they were so many disposable extras in a Michael Bay movie.

Hamas was rooting for Trump because they benefit from Bibi making life impossible for Palestinians. You can see it at the rare times that actual people's views are broadcast in the press -- they hate Hamas. The only way Hamas can maintain power is by making life impossible for the people they rule.

This is the thing so many people misunderstand about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
