It costs ~$70 to produce a year’s supply of insulin.

Yet, the average annual cost of insulin went from $2,864 in 2012 to $5,705 in 2016 to $18,000 in 2025. A 25,714% markup. That isn’t inflation or supply chain—It’s corporate greed.

Now—California will sell insulin for $11. Make this nationwide!

Grateful that the local rerun theaters who wish to honor Diane Keaton are not showing any Woody Allen films!
That said it becomes a toss up between Looking for Mr. Goodbar and Baby Boom and is there really even a question?

Just overcame my fear of public speaking to give a presentation at a large annual conference of my peers. A moderator informed me privately of a typo in my slides that she believed was supposed to be ‘shift’ but instead was ‘shit.’I explained that was likely a Freudian shit.

So Far Gone by @jesswalter.bsky.social was one of my favorite reads of 156 books this year. Going through and reading all of his catalog now. The humor and action in this one are intertwined so perfectly!

It’s nice to be able to see a Zamrock band from the 70s with the original frontman. A little bit of history and nostalgia.

#showmeyourknits so this is crochet but I do both and it’s good to experiment sometimes. This journey was circuitous to say the least. I had spring in mind and I finished it just in time for fall. Does that sound familiar to anyone else out there?

Will the C.D.C. Survive? www.nytimes.com/2025/08/29/h...
Fears about low birth rates and now a swath of unvaccinated children will die and spread disease to elderly and immunocompromised folks. Well done RFK. This man gave himself mercury poisoning. Maybe his tanning will lead to cancer. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Sometimes Penumbra will fake a backflip if she’s tired. Her real backflips are impressive and a bit unpredictable.

@claremackwrites.bsky.social #booksy I’ve been enjoying listening to this book which includes several Welsh words I’d have trouble pronouncing. Also there are lots of delectable characters. I’m already planning a reread down the road as I know I’ll be able to enjoy this on the second go round!

Two words that aren’t real words that I enjoy:

1)Missunderestimate

2)Disirregardless

I try to toss them out there whenever possible just to get reactions! Most of the time nothing much transpires.
