Thanks for letting me rant about my cats (not my elves, who get along great)

I initially adopted them as littermates because I wanted them to have a companion and a playmate while I was out for long hours at work, but then covid hit and now I feel sorta scammed by Big Bonded Pair.

They have lots of space and playtime and places to hide, but Taako's just kind of a weirdo who's hammy and sweet with humans but can't stand Lup having literally anything

Real improvement only came about because I got Taako a slow-feeder. I've thought about simply starting over and reintroducing them but it'd be extremely difficult and time-consuming on my own, and I get the feeling the solution is a random blind spot, like the slow-feeder was.

At one point, I seriously considered rehoming one of them so that they could flourish as only children. Now the fighting behavior has mostly calmed down, but it's discouraging and exhausting trying to navigate their ever-tenuous mutual tolerance.
