1. Goof Troop on SNES.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina ot Time

3. If you had asked me a year ago, I would have said Baldur's Gate 4. But that won't be made by Larian if it gets made at all. And I don't have faith that Bethesda will live up to expectations with FO5 or TES 6. So now it's Avowed.

"Cutesy RPG" *wakes up covered in a certain horned songstress' gore*

I've seen a lot of people interpret it as a Squid Game reference

Finally got my wife to Act 2 in her first BG3 run. On my own, I'm gonna wrap up GoW: Ragnarok. With the whole family, we've been enjoying Just Dance (my daughter enjoys the Disney songs)

Marvel Rivals with the boys, but I've been pushing to do more Helldivers.

GTA 6 on Switch 2 means that it will probably be available as a streamed title, but I could be wrong.

Media outlets stopped pretending they cared about BIPOC and the LGBT+ exactly .2 seconds after Trumps win was announced.

We're basically back to post 9/11 levels of media coverage. Which was just a freshly repainted version of McCarthyism.

Really, marketing and poor release timing killed this movie. It would have done great otherwise.

Same. I keep sending images of certain political figures along with the icon for Fireball from BG3 to my group chat as a symptom.

I suppose I never put two and two together, but plate armor, handheld crossbows, and steel weapons weren't very common until the last few centuries of the Middle Ages anyway. DnD is basically frozen in time (technology wise) right before the first guns and cannons hit the frontlines.

Drider-Man

Didn't know that was something I wanted until now. Any chance I can get links?

Unfortunately, Gamestop has been killing it for years, too. Most Gamestops I've been to sell used games for about $2 less than the new option.

I think they're eventually banking on Geforce Now being the industry standard for players accessing games and GPUs just being for prosumers and serious(ly rich) enthusiasts
January 29, 2025 at 9:03 PM
I'm honestly starting to think the 50 series is less for gamers and more for businesses that use powerful GPUs in their workcenter desktops, because businesses don't care about "price to performance", they're just gonna buy as much hardware they can budget for. I see it happen where I work
January 29, 2025 at 8:52 PM
So, only high-end GPUs are promising? A $500-600 GPU that vastly outperforms anything in its price range from the previous generation isn't promising?
January 29, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Either way, both mentalities lead to Nvidia charging insane prices for marginal improvements between generations.
January 29, 2025 at 8:29 PM
I can't tell if you're insinuating that only high end GPUs like the 4080/5080 or 4090/5090 or 7900 XTX are worthwhile, or that only NVidia makes worthwhile GPUs because the 9070 and 9070 XT both outperform anything NVidia makes in the same price range
January 29, 2025 at 8:27 PM
Honestly just shows how out of touch people like that are.
