got carded at the grocery store and the cashier (weird old man) was like, "That's an interesting last name. Is it German?"
and I said, "No."
and he said, "Dutch?"
and I said, "No."
and he said, "It's not English."
and I said, "No, it's not." And then I left.

I am going to win the "little drummer boy challenge" this year. One year I almost won but then on Christmas Eve I was watching old Peewee Herman Christmas specials, and in one he receives a huge wooden crate in the mail, and inside the crate is Grace Jones, and Grace Jones sings "Little Drummer Boy"

impressively bad analogy in Toto's "Africa" where they compare Kilimanjaro rising above the Serengeti to how a different mountain (Olympus) rises above a different place. Atrocious on its face but also wrong bc Kilimanjaro doesn't rise above the Serengeti &backward bc Olympus is the smaller mountain

misremembering the chomsky-foucault debate: I thought foucault had this bitchy rhetorical move where he says, "Of course, my own approach here is less sophisticated," to set a dunk up, which I liked enough to start doing when interlocutors condescend to me. the reason 101 dalmations looks like that is because disney incorporated xerography (ie early photocopying technology) into the animation process. rough pencils (by mostly male animators) were copied onto the cels so that disney could fire the (mostly female) inkers. remember that art can lie to you
