We just got a box of those lab coats. So stylish with the cuffs.

We have an academic license which seems to allow publication. It did pretty good with my spaghetti LC setup :)

99% of lc-ms systems generated in Biorender are an Ultimate with Tribrid so this opens up some new options :)

Predictably after a few weeks of a favorable exchange rate had our most expensive meal (meh; have to get used to tipping again) in the Minneapolis airport with mouse running around the restaurant. A few highlights…

It’s #Caturday so of course I am catching up on work instead of tending to the garden. At least Arlo is keeping me company.

Award-winning cayenne, or mislabeled tag? Seems way too big. I’ll have to cut into it I guess.

Detecting cytokines in neat plasma/serum is hard, especially without any internal standards. Neither raw data nor Skyline files are made available.

Finally asked to return this since checking it out in 2006. No renewal allowed. It did look good on my bookshelf.

Lots of data to unpack, but I have to help make dinner and then get to a dress rehearsal for the Durham Medical Orchestra. Check out our concert (in person or online) this Sunday: www.dmomusic.org (6/6)

Indebted to collaborators in Tanzania and Duke who collected samples from patients presenting with sepsis-2 at three hospitals in TZ. Also my son designed, and the Duke Physics shop fabricated, the decappers we send halfway around the world. 5/n

The methods has been in the works for awhile and will be pre-printed in more detail soon. We are digesting whole blood and serially enriching, and analyzing, N-glycopeptides and N-phosphopeptides. 2/n

#Caturday. Our house isn’t completely overrun with cat toys as this picture might suggest 🤣

Advantages of moving data on the weekend.

The weekend is always a good time to work on my “6 degrees”. Added Eddie Vedder as a 3rd degree based on this pic :)

Was mapping sites of redox modification on Cys using MS (through external core facilities) and protein microarrays. Eventually met Arthur Moseley and Will Thompson in the early days of the Duke Proteomics Core Facility and the rest is history.
