Holy moly, went to change my Tron Ares tickets and every local theater, IMAX included, only sold a handful of tickets... Seems crazy. Is the Disney/ABC boycott still on? No audience interest in Tron? Or is it a dud and I didn't notice because neon lights & NIN are two of my kinks?

AI has absolutely ruined Google Search... This is literally the pile of Criterion discs I am archiving tonight with both Eraserhead and The Elephant Man included...

Got to love Guitar Center... the only place where you can spend $1500 on a used DJ mixer with a broken off master fader.

Randomly pulled "Night of the Hunter" from my Criterion backlog to watch tonight. Holy moly that was one helluva cool movie. For a serial killer movie from 1955 it builds incredible tension, with amazing shots, and really creepy induendos and performances by Robert Mitchum & Billy Chapin. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Saw this at a thrift store... Were there really kids in the 1970s wanting to pretend they were playing with a mainframe tape storage?

And the first YouTube video I see looking for more info on the mixer is from @hainbach.bsky.social. PERFECT! 😁

Picked up this vintage 1976 TEAC Model 2A mixer over the weekend. Very thankful I found an amazing deal on it because I never would have bought one otherwise. Inside is immaculate, no burst capacitors. Terrified to hook it up though... 50 years old, hope it doesn't voltage spike my synths...

I hate to be down on this it doesn't sound like a good pairing... To me, Karl Urban's "Dredd" was a perfect grimdark AD2000 Judge Dredd. Based on his films Waititi doesn't give me the same vibes. I can see him remaking the Stallone Judge Dredd, and retreading comic satire on fascism.

What it's going to look like when they finally release you know what... Everything is going to be cleaned or redacted, OR it's going to be changed to attack their enemies. If they can just lie all the time you'll never see the truth.

Just finished reading "All-Star Superman" after multiple recommendations since I saw the new #Superman with my kids. This book was so good, especially the artwork!! And it was so cool seeing the parallels to the new movie. 😁

In regards to "3s" I just picked up All-Star Superman today and read this... Maybe a call back to that, maybe just some symmetry. Either way, I am loving discovering all of this for the first time. 😁

I know theaters already have 30 minutes of ads before a movie starts, but maybe try making the movie going experience better...? Like start the movie on time?

Just had a "Dale Cooper Coffee" moment and decided to treat myself... I saw that Burial's first album was available on vinyl and I instantly bought it. 😁

Guessing those Tesla losses are finally catching up to sad Elon and the banks were about to call his loans in... Stop gap to merge assets and keep them all content with extra leverage, but this seems like the first real crack in his armor. Happy to see it.

I know it is completely silly, but the MPC's "Mother Ducker" dancing mascot might just be my favorite little UI gimmick of all time. 😁

You never know what rare jewel you might find in a thrift mall, even out in rural Ohio... I was stunned to find this @daedelus.bsky.social collab album mixed in with the usual Elvis and Lawrence Welk. I absolutely had to buy it, can't wait to put it on tomorrow while I work.

Sigh... Why not just train an AI to generate a podcast about AI? That way you can cut out the host altogether, save some money, and create that precious algorithmic sponsored content...(aka, this is exactly why AI is terrible for art, the economy, & the humanities)

Isn't there an original Series Star Trek episode with an AI that rules an entire planet...? Maybe in the far future an alien space ship will help destroy our "Grok" overlord... 🙄
