I love Christmas biryani (a South Asian spiced rice pilaf), but what I also love is breakfast the next morning featuring dosa (a kind of savory crepe or pancake made with slightly fermented rice and lentil flour) and meat curry (chicken this year). So great.

Got in my final grades for my fall Asbury Seminary class last night, and woke up this morning to a beautiful blanket of snow outside, just in time for both #Hanukkah and #Christmas . Yay!

I am grateful and happy for the fall of the odious Assad dynasty. The sheer amount of death and suffering they visited upon the Syrian people boggles the mind. And yet, I remember well how much of the Arab Spring was hijacked by Islamists. Pray for #Syria
