While the government prosecutes this case “in some purported effort to keep law enforcement safe and free from food fights,” CBP employees “are joking about it.” The gov, she says, is trying to turn a “gag-gift worthy moment into a federal criminal offense. We ask you not to allow them to do that.”

Defense begins, “This case, ladies and gentlemen, is about a sandwich. A sandwich that according to Agent Lairmore somehow both exploded on his chest in a spray of mustard and onions but also landed intact on the ground still in its Subway wrapper.”

Boston did it twice! It was the best
Boston participated in both 2013 and 2016. I have never loved this city more than those months

The Boston experiments with public pianos were fascinating both to watch and participate in. There is always going to be a contingent of people who just want to bang on them for the sake of making noise, but for the most part it drew an incredible range of pianists. There are so many of us here!

For about three glorious months each more than ten years ago Boston participated in a project which distributed artistically rendered pianos to some of the most scenic/notable places in the city, and i have never had more fun doing anything in public than i did finding and playing them

That said, i still would still love to have sat in for the meeting in which the T decided to move nearly a dozen pianos from Newton to one barely climate-controlled waiting room in Lawrence. I am going to start making some calls to see if the public could help spread the wealth a bit here

The new Lawrence USCIS office is right across the street from the commuter rail station, so if you can time it right it is the best way to avoid traffic. Knowing that these pianos are here for me before and after stressful immigration interviews means a lot, and I appreciate it

I know this could get expensive, but i would love to see these distributed to other stations. Public pianos are one of my favorite things, and while they can be a public nuisance in the wrong hands Boston's past experiments with them have proven that they can produce moments of truly sublime beauty

One indication that career lawyers w/ subject matter expertise have been sidelined from the boat strike business is that the admin is citing irrelevant OLC opinions from 1984 and 1994 to supposedly bolster its argument for why US strikes are not "hostilities." 6/n
