My wife has been working 7 days a week for the last month, and her app is just two days away from launch. Based on their trajectory they’re a few thousand downloads away from ranking in the top 10 of the entire App Store. Can you do what I promise will be an enjoyable favor and preorder the game?

I'm sorry, but if an Xcode Cloud build fails with "The test runner hung before establishing connection." -- in other words, it didn't even start running my code -- showing usage for that session of 64 minutes is complete bullshit.

Especially for a system that charges by usage time.

... but the Toolbar Item pill shape is still there. The `.sharedBackgroundVisibility(.hidden)` does remove it, but the padding still remains, and the view looks off. Super annoying.

Apple has rolled out Offer Codes for IAP's, something they announced at WWDC, and have had for subscriptions for a few years

This means no more global price changes to run sales - you can now run promotions targeted from specific sites, give you much better flexibility!

Uh oh, here we go again...

The Codex code review is impressive - through the web, it continued to call out an issue on a Bills to Budget PR that I couldn't replicate, and couldn't quite follow. None of my tests failed, and none of my manual testing exposed it.

Still, it was persistent enough that I wanted to dig further… 🧵

Doing a feature audit of Bills to Budget, using Brainstorm/AI for structured note taking. Not yet perfect, but I love it anyway!

Mind Maps are available now!

Mind Maps were part of the original plan for Brainstorm/AI, but it felt like a daunting task. The work isn't done yet, but I'm super proud of this work, and excited to have it out!

And while building this over the summer, I discovered something completely unexpected...
Brainstorm/AI is ready for Liquid Glass, and it's bringing a huge new feature: Mind Maps!

Work with AI to visualize your ideas, reorganize your thoughts, and turn your loose sparks into real, actionable plans.

Available now!

1/ Introducing, Plinky 5. Every pixel of Plinky has been rethought and redesigned for Apple’s beautiful new Liquid Glass. From the moment you open it, Plinky feels right at home on iOS 26, while staying distinctly Plinky. But I went far beyond that to make saving links faster and more intuitive.

Manifesting a Mets win, and for Bills to Budget to go In Review 🤞
September 14, 2025 at 5:20 PM
It's done - Bills to Budget is officially in the reviewers hands... or, well, it's waiting to be in the reviewers hands.

Next up - a college visit tomorrow with my daughter, and then a few weeks to focus mostly on cleanup, refinement and marketing. 🤞

Ugh - screenshot time, but something is weird with my UI Tests. I have a step that brings up a context menu and chooses an option, and it's sitting there for 2+ minutes before it makes the selection. And I do this on 5 components 🤦‍♂️

So close to being ready to submit!!!

Ok, fellow last-minute iOS 26 updaters...

Is there a way to apply a glass effect on a 'Text' directly? I'd love to see what a soft glass effect on the letters 'Bills to Budget' would look like (just applying a `.glassEffect` to the Text puts it in a capsule)

Ok, here's the big question - my Series 7 Apple Watch needs an upgrade. I was interested in the Ultra 3, but it's hard to justify $800, so I was set on the Series 11

But I just realized the Ultra 2 is on the refurb store for $589 - that's on $60 more than the GPS + Cellular model I was eying…

Starting Bills to Budget's Liquid Glass update less than a week before its' expected release was probably a mistake 😳

Big changes planned for a 2.0 version, but that work will start in the fall.

Latest update to the Codex CLI is a huge improvement - better selection for GPT models, including levels of reasoning, and the ability to inherit the shells 'path' for running my scripts alone is going to make this VERY useful
