Uh oh, here we go again...

Doing a feature audit of Bills to Budget, using Brainstorm/AI for structured note taking. Not yet perfect, but I love it anyway!

Would you look at that

Manifesting a Mets win, and for Bills to Budget to go In Review 🤞
September 14, 2025 at 5:20 PM
It's done - Bills to Budget is officially in the reviewers hands... or, well, it's waiting to be in the reviewers hands.

Next up - a college visit tomorrow with my daughter, and then a few weeks to focus mostly on cleanup, refinement and marketing. 🤞

Ok, fellow last-minute iOS 26 updaters...

Is there a way to apply a glass effect on a 'Text' directly? I'd love to see what a soft glass effect on the letters 'Bills to Budget' would look like (just applying a `.glassEffect` to the Text puts it in a capsule)

It's been a whirlwind, but Brainstorm/AI is ready for Monday 🎉

I can't wait for this to get into people's hands - I've been loving the new Mind Map features for my own work.

Bills to Budget is next, but I'm still a few days of work away from being ready - going to be tight!

And now we wait🤞

In iOS 26, is there a way to have a sheet morph from many different locations? I've tried every combination of different 'source' and 'namespace' in the zoom transitions, but it always triggers from the last transition modifier applied to the sheet.

Boy, is Claude going to be pissed when I tell them what the real timeline is going to look like…

The new sheet view in iOS 26 works really well in a small detent size

Looks like a perfectly placed floating capsule while small, but grows smoothly as you extend it to the other sizes, complete with automatically shifting transparency levels. Super nice!

People are generating whole apps with AI - meanwhile Xcode AI autocomplete is over here mis-spelling the word 'seconds' 🤦‍♂️

It's been like that for a while…

iOS 26 beta 4 is not looking so great, at least in the simulator….

Hey, good news! It turns out if you put an Inspector inside of a NavigationSplitView, when you hide the sidebar, the 'Toggle Sidebar' button goes flying off the top of the screen! 🤦‍♂️

Our grocery store gave us a free sample… of an apple… a partially rotten apple… 🤷‍♂️
July 18, 2025 at 6:42 PM
Interestingly, if you move the '.background' modifier after the inspector, the situation is reversed, and _only_ the sidebar is colored.

Naturally, putting a '.background' both before and after the inspector colors everything... 🤦‍♂️

'backgroundExtensionEffect' has the same behavior 🤷‍♂️

Anyone have experience working with .sidebarAdaptable and .inspector?

Adding an inspector to a Tab screws up the background. Without an inspector, applying a background color to a view extends beneath the new floating sidebar.

Add an inspector though? I hope you like the white sidebar.
