Wanted to Open That Trapdoor. Didn't. There was something down there...😯
Given all the circled button-proddy posts at this particularly insane junction near me, that might be how they power the town actually.

The Darkroom lights not going out when I entered was just an effect of drafting the furygre bhgfvqr. Very, very obvious, and I was very, very dense for not realising instantly🫣

Oh, I saw that on my 1st day. Also got a bit obsessed by the panel lights, took an educated guess from other stuff I'd seen, & solved the secret room puzzle before I got the email about it. Which made the email a bit of a letdown TBH😅

Turns out it wasn't them though. It was Greg Follis & Roy Carter of Gargoyle Games, where one was laboriously drawing art for a game and looked up to ask "Do ducks have big ears?"
No more arting for him🚫👂🦆🚫

Ah, the history of #RetroGaming ☺️

Cor, THAT was a rabbit hole🤯

So, Domark was imaginatively named after DOminic Wheatley & MARK Strachan, the DO part being grandson of writer Dennis Wheatley. I (very) vaguely remembered a mid-80s interview in which they talked about sordid sex, but also where they're wondering if ducks have ears.

I like those little spinny textured metal cone things on the underside. Ostensibly they're for people who can't see or hear the signals, but they're also good for smoothing snags on your fingernails when you're out and about. Good design.

A bit like the call buttons on lifts and pelican crossings then? Unless 6502 resets remotely control pelican crossings - I've seen stranger decisions in civil engineering🤔

I have an experimental nature. If I was managing this shop I'd totes be doing this too.
I appreciate B&M's progressive attitude to our faithful companions enjoying Christmas this year🎄🍸

Are dogs terrible at exams? I don't think I've ever entered one for GCSEs to see what happens.

I appreciate your tacit acceptance of blame in my hour of need😅

You know I'm going to have to record a whole epic shadow play now, right? I can never do snakes properly without dislocating my shoulder😮‍💨

Which segues nicely into the I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again classic "British Rail would like to apologise for the late arrival of that last joke..."😅

But everyone knows the most thrilling train murder mystery of all time is...
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲-𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗲𝘀!

The mortal remains on Alien ❤️ Predator, now relegated to spleeping in.
Not sure what my shadow fingers are doing.

Oh, it would have had to have been something I actually like for me to minesweep a stranger's leftovers. Or at least not actively dislike😅

I shall file that along with "The train now arriving at platforms three through nine has came in sideways".
November 28, 2025 at 10:43 AM
I misread that as 21 pounds at first😳

Quiet because their sticky toffee pudding emphasises the sticky over the toffee?

I've never been a stout fan. Although a mate drank Guinness & blackcurrant back then for reasons I never understood😬

I finished a fair few of those in my time when he collapsed under the weight of alcohol. I mean it was awful, but you couldn't let good alcohol go to waste could you?

That sounds about right👍

The Nov '92 price is 70p more than I was paying for a pint of continental fighting strength lager in the SU when I first went to Uni. My Alma Mater was not noted for it's academic rigour😅
