yes. I have experienced a lot of anti semitism. Things Are much better now but when I was growing up until my mid 20s there was a lot of anti semetism where I grew up.

I wish more people who are of the majority where they live were me aware of what it can be like to be a minority. You are white and male and I assume likely have a Christian background. if you don’t listen to minorities you wont know what we experience.

I have very close family woo were beaten repeatedly by neonazis and couldn’t get the police to do anything. I have many many stories of experiences with antisemitism and with racism after I was wit my hushand. most people who are minorities have some experiences of bigotry.

Have you ever gone to bed worried someone was going to kill you first your ethnicity or religion? A man threatened to kill our whole family for being Jewish and had a gun and took it out and waged it around telling people he was going to kill is. I had many nightmares about him.

I believe that you think you are a person who is good and not racist but I think you are antisemetic and I truly hope you will examine your views about Jewish people. I hope you will listen to Jewish people and Asian Australians and people of all minority groups and hear our experiences

Very country has racism. if you don’t see it it might be because you are in the majority being a white male. maybe listen to what people who are of the minority say. you certainly aren’t listening to me as a female Jewish person trying to point out how you have been offensive

I mean I’m Jewish. Australian Jews are not Israel’. there is a difference between being Jewish and being g Israeli. Many Israelis are Muslims, and there are Christian Israelis etc. jews who aren’t Israeli are just that-citizens of other countries.

In Israel proper therr is absolutely equal rights. If you are taking shut the West Bank or Gaza, those are not in israel. listen to what Arab Israelis say about their life in Israel.

There so much more history of racism in the USA. And as a girl I thought that was the olden days but ruby bridges (one of my heroes) is not all that much older than I am! When I was born it was still illegal for people like me and my husband to get married in some USA states!

look into the Chinese exclusionary, the history during WW2 of forcing Japanese Americans into internment camps. Look at the history of the Opium wars where western powers forced China to allow them to deal opium in China. it’s where many wealthy families of the late 1800-early 1900s got rich.

why do you get upset by the fact your country has bigotry? All countries have that! It isn’t an attack on you. I don’t feel offended by yo ur posts pointing out American racism. If the horrible people who joined ice and dhs were better educated in the topic maybe they wouldn’t do what they are doing

You should want to know all there is to know about Australian racism a work to make things there better. you could help maken Asian Australians and asians in general feel more welcome. You could help Jewish Australians feel protected and cared for. Instead you do whatever this is here

My own experiences growing up were of being a minority. As a Jewish person in a nearly completely white Christian state we were the targets of discrimination. I have always opposed bigotry and felt it very important for all to recognize. Why does knowing Australia has racism threaten you so much?

This is true. Unlike you, I’m not a white male. I’m a Jewish woman who have ancestors who came here to escape European antisemetism. my father remembers signs in my home town that said ‘no Jews or dogs allowed’. I experienced antisemitism often growing up. And racism when i married my husband
