When the "disputed claim" is "vaccines are needed to contain pandemic" it's irresponsible to pretend both viewpoints are equally valid.
And let's not pretend newspapers don't put their thumb down on one side whenever they want to. Almost all reporting is simple reporting.

George Lakoff and I pushed this simple and reasonable idea years ago. When I returned to journalism, I realized the problem. Editors care more about SEO and controversy (=clicks) than about whether the headline is destroying truth. Incentive is to bait engagement at all cost.

There is a separation of powers argument to be made here. Kelly isn't just a former soldier. He's a sitting legislator.
