The question is what caused his POTS. There are a number of possible causes, and they aren't all well understood, but there's some evidence that it can result from long Covid. www.ninds.nih.gov/health-infor...

If we project this trend out, the Celtics are due for a whole lot of NBA cups in the next few years.

Thank you. It's fun to be reminded that I once knew really esoteric stuff. (Bailed out on my PhD before my dissertation 20 years ago.) The fact that I can still understand the question warms my aging heart. Though I have no clue how to go about looking for the answer. Good luck with that

Interesting. Was not expecting group theory in Bluesky this morning.

I'm the same. For years, I didn't watch sports at all. Then just the Red Sox for a few years, until they sucked out and sold off all the guys I liked. Then nothing until the Cs swept the Nets in 2022 playoffs and caught my attention. And now I've watched about every one of their games since then.

My first instinct would be to turn it into a group text with the engineer and send "Hey Bob, Fred wants you to call him."

He played the end of the season with a torn meniscus. I've had one. It hurts. A lot. You can still play, because it's pretty stable and there's not too much risk of making it worse, but it hurts. A lot.

Yeah, I figured it was. But I'm really enjoying the fact that the Cs are doing so well right now that it's almost a real question.

More seriously, yes I think that lineup can have some great minutes together, but I'm guessing they'd be more likely to start Pritchard, White, Brown, Tatum, and Queta.

I got a kick out of "if Tatum can crack the starting line up."

I'm curious, what about the Celtics game seems ugly to you?
December 7, 2025 at 9:50 PM
Interesting. I'd forgotten that they traded for Walsh (drafted by Sacramento).
I got curious - the 5 drafts before that gave us Brown, Tatum, Rob Williams, Grant Williams, Pritchard, Nesmith, and Desmond Bane(!) (who we traded right away, obviously)
