Today’s #iwantitforfree was someone trying twice to get me to meet with them for free advice for their co. For some reason it reminded me of the person who met with me thinking I’d write a grant for them, for free. People!

Today’s #iwantitforfree is an honorable mention. This sales dude emails me saying “what’s the cheapest way I can attend your event” blah blah blah and his company does huge contracts. People think you’ll give them a break for being a potential sponsor but the ppl who ask these Q’s never do.

Today's #IWantItForFree is from the archives, and I'm naming names. UCSD's microMBA program used to have a "coffee chat" that was PART OF THE CURRICULUM and they relied on biotech professionals to mentor for free. I did for many years and when I asked to be paid my hourly rate, they said no.
