Usually optimistic environmentalist. Ex Friends of the Earth/10:10/Energy Bill Revolution/ACE. Now trying a different kind of conservation with classic cars.
So obvious it is hardly worth hanging on before posting the answer. From The Telegraph.

One of these deplorable events has reportedly led to White House officials gathering in the Situation Room.

Guess which one?

Still worth the trip though. Then a short walk from the ferry to Ardgour Ales to sit in the beer garden drinking their beers while looking straight down Loch Linhe and the Great Glen.

Stunning spot. Lovely people. Delicious beer.

Glad to see the Metro reporting there will be trains to both Merthyr and Tydfil.

Oops.

Wondering why #Asda can install loads of solar panels on their Leyton store, while #B&Q next door - who actually sell them - haven't bothered?

I ordered this book in large part because one of the key figures in it lived in my old house. Now it's arrived, I see it has an endorsement by my old boss, @tonyjuniper.bsky.social

NHS 111 is pretty risk averse too.

Someone asked me to check out a car listing for them and this is what it said. Just for fun (1) can you spot where the AI kicks in and (2) what car would you guess it is?

It isn't easy spotting upsides these days, but maybe this could this push MAGA-backing, climate-sceptic motorists in the US to make the switch to electric cars?

Macron's response was published on the same page more than 30 minutes earlier. Still waiting for Starmer though.

If only there was a place that @tfl could have put these new bins at Stratford station without narrowing the platform access to the stairs.

Strong stuff from Rachel Reeves. Shame we don't see similar urgency in providing funds needed to tackle the climate crisis. In fact I have a horrible feeling that is one of the areas she will target with those "tough choices".

What's happened to Gaby Logan's feet?

Well that aged well.

And you'll be shocked to hear he hasn't bothered all his angry followers with a correction.

Take a wild guess at which three years Michael Gove was in charge of Local Government.
November 26, 2024 at 1:57 PM
Of course, though there is zero chance that all those who could afford it have actually done it. There was Government help available for those who found it harder but this is what the Government did to those schemes.

Insulation costs once, then you save money every year afterwards on your bills. The amounts depend on the property, but we have among the leakiest homes in Europe.

The question I'd ask is how many times we will complain about fuel prices but not tackle this issue?

Looks like I'll be watching "Keeping Mum" tonight. Not the role she is most famous for, but my favourite Maggie Smith role by some distance.
