But here I am.
My take is that there shouldn't be a wealth cap. But if your net worth reaches a billion you get put in a endless pit.
"According to the…annual Harris Poll, for the 1st time, a majority of Americans believe billionaires are a threat to democracy. A remarkable 71% believe there should be a wealth tax. A majority believe there should be a cap on how much wealth a person can accumulate." www.nytimes.com/2025/12/14/o...

I've said this before, but a fun part of the MCU being mainstream is regular people complaining about things we comic people have been dealing with since forever.

Oh, bringing back dead characters is a cheap marketing stunt? mmmh interesting observation.

Pretty brazen that right after the mega hit Baldur's Gate 3 was, Larian decides to promote their follow-up with the grossest trailer you've ever seen.

Sad fact, from everyone I know who has been going to the states, they already do that! I know people who have been refused because they said they didn't like Trump when asked at the border.

I know it's all capitalist bullshit, but there's 0 reason why a company like WB would need to sell itself. A storied company like that that owns basically almost everything should just making money by existing. It's ridiculous to believe otherwise.

This really sucks for the future of physical releases. Netflix usually avoids it. WB has the biggest backlog for that.

I still can't believe Sony sold K-Pop Demon Hunters to Netflix thinking it would be a flop, but are betting that basketball movie with a goat is going to be a huge hit in cinemas.

Why are people upset about an adaptation successfully conveyed the same theme of the book. If the reviewers said the opposite then maybe I'd see people lose their minds.
I'm losing my mind over how many reviewers are like "GDT's Frankenstein makes you wonder who the real monster is." THAT'S THE STORY! That's the story Shelley wrote!

And much like reddit you think you're being informed. Until you see a post from a subject you actually know and start questioning everything you took at face value in the first place.
not the most important part of this story but can we talk about how they made a robot that talks like reddit? the entire model of "intelligence" and human interaction this approximates is "forum douche." they built a thing that simulates posting online

Coworker the other day said Pierce Brosnan was the "Mama Mia guy"
I think everybody has a “Wallace Shawn from Young Sheldon” — my first one would probably be “Vincent Price, the guy who did the voice of Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective”

Frankenstein is generating so many polarizing ratings on letterboxd is crazy. Either wanting it to be more like the book or they're upset it isn't like the book. Either way, it was extremely my shit. 5 stars.

I'd at least respect AI a bit if Sam Altman himself had to do elaborate art heist at the Louvre to steal art for his machine instead of just clicking a button.

My big holes were Back to the Future and Star Wars. Both were fixed in recent years and my takeaway with both series was "I guess I had to be kid huh?"
Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

Second movie of October was I Saw the TV Glow. I loved it, but I can see why some people aren't in tune with it. A bit of escapism can help get you through life, but eventually you do need to escape.

the old ladies at work are already watching hallmark christmas stuff. Hallmark needs to step up for some halloween movies. A woman goes back to her small town in october and falls in love with a pumpkin spice farmer or something.

First horror movie of the month was Clown in a Cornfield. Which is a series of books inspired by old slashers movies then made into a slasher movie itself. A snake eating its tail scenario but delivers on the titular clown in a cornfield alright.
