The only good thing is that this time there isn't a full scale invasion like the US & UK did in Iraq at the time. That should require congressional approval, am I right?

Yup, they started ramping up referrals by mid-2025... Most probably to get noticed and help build the narrative as "Google killers". Then they quickly backpedaled because the business model requires that the user stays on-platform.

Nope, none that I know of. Matomo supports only Google Analytics import... but I guess one can write down some Matomo plugin that leverages the Piwik Pro API? Just for On Premise instances though.
