Ook toen ik nog lid was van de @vvdonline.bsky.social vond ik het al erg grappig hoe ze "liberaal" gebruiken als synoniem voor "dingen waar de VVD voor is". In dit geval is de Antifa-motie opeens liberaal geworden, en is Van de Sanden dus gebotst met de liberale waarden van zijn partij.

Small example: no, you can’t have unilateral and coordinated effects at the same time, but you can have *risks* of both at the same time. And risk is usually the best we can do anyway.

Ben ik nou gek of moeten deze mensen, gegeven de bewezenverklaring, minstens een jaar of wat de cel in? Dit kan toch zo niet? Hoe kan het dat de wet, na zoveel jaar law & order VVD-regeringen, nog altijd zo mild is?

Dat hangt ervan af hoe je ernaar kijkt. De PVV staat een stuk lager in de peilingen dan een jaar geleden. Maar ik denk dat je aan peilingen alleen niet genoeg hebt om het antwoord op mijn vraag te krijgen. Het is ook interessant om te zien of die kiezers afhaken of overstappen op een andere partij.

If I had to cite authority one way or another, I'd turn to the ICJ's Kosovo opinion, which arguably said that declarations of independence are free. If that is true, wouldn't that be true for recognition too?

I get that on LinkedIn sometimes you should just be happy for someone when they get a new job.
Still, I’m disappointed that so far no one has called him out on that “bold new agenda for regulatory and market change”. What an awful euphemism for corruption and regulatory hooliganism.
