Finally, it was only when I finished the playlist I realised that it was bookended by 2 tracks from trans artists. After 2025’s parade of shit, that seems apt, and maybe even a wee bit poetic.

Here’s to 2026 being a better place #TransRightsAreHumanRights

* except for BRUIT, their new album The Age Of Ephemerality isn’t on Spotify but you should check it out on Bandcamp.

The track on the playlist is their sole one on Spotify. It’s called “Parasite (The Boycott Manifesto)”

…maybe 2026 is the year I manage to round the family up to jump to Tidal.

TBF, by the time you read this, George Lucas has probably added him in.

Like the entire digital world doesn't have to be about sucking every piece of attention, every cent, every ounce of will from customers and users.

We still can offer good experiences, fun experiences, accessible experiences all in one.

That's not a wild concept! I believe in it.

It’s worse than than that… this is like Spotify Unwrapped but for MIRO. Showing you your highlights for the year…

Bandcamp - Not totally, altho’ I do like their editorial content and their algorithms bring some cool stuff to my attention.

Service like Spotify suits me as I can spot interesting things literally anywhere (like here) and quickly stick it on a playlist to come back and check out later.

For obvious reasons I’d like to make the move off Spotify but it’s designed to be sticky and, goddamn, it’s sticky. Especially when you have a family account where moving off means forcing 3 other members of the family off too. It’ll come.

Spotify - for discovery and convenient access to stuff I own when out and about. On average I buy 2-3 albums a week and a gig ticket. CD if I can get it, Bandcamp download if I can’t.

I’d talk to Sky first. If you explain the situation they might sort you out with something. Think most providers have packages that include an extender in the deal. So, Sky might do you a free upgrade. Worth a try!

I still “tape the football”.

No tape is involved.

They could have done 200, it would still have scanned, and we’d all just have assumed “she lives in London”.
