Hardman is the most obvious "back up a truck, make him exclusive, let him do whatever" talent out there for DC. This one has a verve to it, a hum, that is going to make the whole thing a perennial paperback.

Ten pages from the end, the narrator intrudes so forcefully upon the reader's experience that it rendered every page prior to it wasted effort.

I started writing the next one of these in an informal sequence. Water and earth here, and the next one coming is fire.

Haven't finished writing and won't for a minute, but I'll need some money to secure a collaborator.

So anything I sell in my shop is for that: weekendwarriorcomics.com/shop

Crossroads of Ravens engages in MAJOR prequel shenanigans but locates all of the "lore explanations" in a specific emotional place for Geralt that feels revelatory rather than annoying. The book notably doesn't rush Geralt's development into the man readers first met him as in the short stories.

Re-read an old favorite tonight. Big superhero crossover as an excuse to go smaller and treat the characters with a more tender hand.

There's something about writing and inhabiting a space where miracles could be said to exist... makes it much more profound when they don't arrive.

It's an evil, impure thought, but this thing would be so easy to film.

Most people would agree that the biggest issue with Borges' work is that his stories were too short and each sentence too impactful. I am pleased to report that this problem has now been solved.

Too many lovely things about this book to recount. A home-run derby.

Hal Jordan as one of those guys who finds himself perennially existing outside of society and dissociating between space shit is a fun character.

I meant to save this flashback sequence for a future issue/story, but I ended up incorporating it into the third issue because there was a natural place for it and, importantly, no guarantee I'd be able to make an issue four.

Not a comic about a dad, but a comic about /having/ a dad

Just saw The CW's Arrow put a firepoker through a guy. I don't think I'm strong enough to put that through a guy. That little curvy hook bit... Too much surface area? It'd probably create a blunting effect while trying to put the firepoker through a guy.

MADNESS and The Scent of May Rain are two totally self-contained graphic novellas. They both explore the intersection of ideas from myth and folklore with the struggle to find/create identity in the current day.
